只有我一個人不會在美國加油站給輪胎打氣嗎？
今天我的汽車儀錶盤（dashboard）上亮起了黃燈，顯示我的胎壓（tire pressure）不夠了。需要從目前的35PSI增加至42PSI。為甚麼特斯拉要求的胎壓比我以前開的豐田Sienna高那麼多？
今天就來學學輪胎打氣方面的實用英語：
1.輪胎充氣（Inflating Tires）
Inflate the tire/Tire inflation（給輪胎充氣）
•Make sure to inflate the tires to the recommended pressure.
（確保輪胎充氣到建議的胎壓。）
Deflate the tire/Tire deflation（放氣）
•If the tire is overinflated,you may need to deflate it slightly.
（如果輪胎充氣過度，你可能需要稍微放點氣。）
Air pump/Tire inflator（打氣泵/輪胎充氣機）
•Most gas stations have an air pump for tire inflation.
（大多數加油站都有輪胎充氣機。）
•詳細生活在北美的華人都看到過加油站裡的這個air pump：
不過我得承認，我剛來美國時怎麼也學不會應該怎麼操作這玩意兒，好多次都只能求助旁邊的老美或者店裡的服務生。直到現在我也沒有一次完全順暢的自己把氣加好了的，簡直都產生心理陰影了。
好吧，讓我也來認真學習學習，爭取下次能順暢的獨自完成打氣任務！

2.胎壓監測系統（Tire Pressure Monitoring System,TPMS）
現代汽車通常配備 TPMS（胎壓監測系統），它能實時監測輪胎壓力，並在胎壓異常時警告駕駛員。

•The TPMS alert came on,so I need to check the tire pressure.
（胎壓監測系統的警示燈亮了，我得檢查胎壓。
•TPMS sensor/Tire pressure sensor（胎壓感測器）
•A faulty TPMS sensor may give incorrect readings.
（損壞的胎壓感測器可能會提供錯誤的讀數。）
Low tire pressure warning（胎壓過低警報）
•If the low tire pressure warning light turns on,check your tires immediately.
（如果胎壓過低警示燈亮起，立即檢查輪胎。）
Check tire pressure/Measure tire pressure（檢查胎壓）
•It's a good habit to check tire pressure every two weeks.
（每兩週檢查一次胎壓是個好習慣。）
Tire pressure gauge（胎壓計）
•Use a tire pressure gauge to get an accurate reading.
（使用胎壓計測量準確的胎壓值。）
3.輪胎氣壓單位（Tire Pressure Units）
胎壓通常用兩種單位表示：
PSI(Pounds per Square Inch)（磅/平方英吋）
•Most passenger cars require 30-35 PSI for proper inflation.
（大多數轎車需要30-35 PSI的適當胎壓。）
Bar/kPa(Kilopascal)（巴/千帕）
•1 Bar≒100 kPa≒14.5 PSI
•The recommended pressure is 2.2 Bar.

Driver: Excuse me,do you have an air pump?（請問你們有充氣泵嗎？）
